HARRISBURG – July 17, 2012 – South Strabane Township will receive a state grant of more than $21,000 for recycling efforts, state Sen. Tim Solobay announced.
The grant was based on the township recycling more than three tons of refuse in 2010.
“These state grants help reward municipalities for efforts that protect the environment,” Solobay said.
The grant was awarded through Pennsylvania’s Recycling Performance Grant Program, which provides incentive to help Pennsylvania communities increase the amount of materials recovered through recycling.
